Cristiane Santos vs Shayna Baszler - Wow, Cyborgs wife Cyborg is one vicious and angry woman. Training at Chute Boxe with a bunch of crazy men sure made her one of the most dangerous female fighters out there.s a little scary how powerful and snappy her striking was. It was agreat fight. I blame Josh Barnett for Shayna Baszlers mistakes though.WTF was he thinking not yelling for Baszler to let go of the damn useless toehold! She had Cyborgs leg extended for a least a good kneebar attempt and she kept cranking and wasting whatever energy/strength she had on, Ill say it again, a useless toehold. When the leg is almost straight and near a kneebar position toeholds just dont work until the leg is bent and the toes are near the butt. Then again, Baszler was just thrown down by an angry and a much strongeramazon woman and really had no choice but try for a submission, except she should have tried to get guard and work armbar/triangle. Obviously the end of the fight was a little weird, reminds me of Matt Linland vs Murillo Bustamante, where the clear winner of the fight had to interrupt their celebration, come back and win the fight again. Mazagatti and company should have known better and stopped the fight after first knockdown when it was clear Baszler wasnt ok to continue. But for a great TV moment they made, a mad at that point, Cyborg come back and beat Baszler even worse.

Kahnawá:ke Gaming Commission (the “KGC”) has been continuously regulating online gaming for over 9 years – longer than most, if not all, other jurisdictions. During that period of time, the KGC has proven to be a world leader with regulations and methodologies that have established a regulatory environment in which online gaming can be conducted fairly and securely. The KGC’s success as a regulator is evidenced by the fact that a significant percentage of the online gaming industry has chosen to locate and operate within Kahnawá:ke. Given the length of time that it has regulated this new industry and the significant number of licensees under its control, the KGC’s record has been exemplary.
As commentators have correctly noted, even the most well regulated industries are not immune from abuse. Examples can be found in the banking, securities and land-based gaming industries. The fact that the online gaming industry is new and is technologically driven creates additional regulatory challenges. Throughout its history, the KGC has met these challenges and its regulations have been emulated in a number of other jurisdictions around the world.
Over the past several months, it was discovered that individuals within two of the KGC’s licensees – Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet – had created and carried out a scheme to cheat players. In both cases, the improper conduct of these individuals was brought to the attention of the licensees, and the KGC, by affected players. The KGC acknowledges the diligence and sophistication displayed by these players and the role they played in bringing these matters to light.
The first case involved Absolute Poker. After a thorough investigation carried out by the KGC and its agents, Gaming Associates, the KGC rendered its decision in this matter on January 11, 2008. This decision concluded that the cheating that took place was not initiated, nor did it benefit, Absolute Poker as a corporate entity, or its directors or principal ownership. The decision imposed a number of sanctions and conditions on Absolute Poker, including twenty-four specific directions for changes to its management and systems. The KGC was provided evidence that all players affected by the cheating that took place were fully reimbursed for their losses.
Shortly after its decision was rendered in the Absolute Poker matter, the KGC first became aware of similar allegations of cheating involving individuals within Absolute Poker’s sister company: Ultimate Bet.
Over the past several months, the KGC has been closely involved in an in-depth investigation of the Ultimate Bet cheating allegations. Significant efforts have been expended to identify and correct the flaws in Ultimate Bet’s system that permitted the cheating to take place; to identify the individuals that were responsible for the cheating and to ensure that all affected players were fully reimbursed. Unfortunately, the KGC’s actions were not well communicated to the poker industry or public at large, creating an incorrect perception that the KGC was ‘doing nothing’.
The KGC’s investigation into the Ultimate Bet matter has yielded a number of key findings which, within the next several days, will enable the KGC to issue its decision on the appropriate steps to be taken.
It should be stressed that the KGC’s primary concern throughout both matters was to ensure that affected players were fully reimbursed and that corrective measures were implemented to prevent against any further incidents of cheating. Both of these objectives have been accomplished – as evidenced by the fact that the recent concerns that have been raised about the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet matters are not being driven by affected players.

The countdown in on. In three weeks, I will be taking my first born little sonny boy out to the big B Y to go to big boy college. That just does not seem possible. Wasn't I just at college? Didn't I just live in Helaman Halls and have an American Heritage class? This is pretty much freaking me out.

Well, come to find out a couple of things.
#1. His room and board payments started July 1st and I didn't even know. (and obviously not knowing, had not paid a dime) They are not big on communication. Apparently everything nowadays is "ON LINE". They don't even send you any reminders. . . nothing. I am just supposed to remember to send in a big ole check every month to Utah. Haven't they read my blog? Don't they know who they are dealing with?

#2. Jacob already has a reading assignment. All new freshman are strongly encouraged to purchase this book from the BYU bookstore and read it before coming to BYU in 3 weeks. When were they going to tell me this? Answer- they were not. . . . it's "ON LINE" . They clearly think that all of these college bound kids are huge self starters. . . . And so they should be. So, to help Jacob, I ordered the book and I am going to read it with him. Jacob is just thrilled that he has an assignment before school starts.

The book is entitled "Learning in the Light of Faith. The Compatibility of Scholarship and Discipleship", a series of lectures by various general authorities. It is pretty deep. The first lecture is by Neal A. Maxwell and I had to read it slow slow slow. But the reason I tell you about this book is that there is a parable in there told by C.S. Lewis that hit me and I wanted to share it. The chapter is called "The Path to Discipleship". Here is what it says. . .

"No matter how many talents or gifts we now have, God will still seek to remodel us, if we will let Him. Borrowing a parable from George MacDonald, C.S. Lewis wrote of such painful remodeling:

'Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on: you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently he starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of- throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were going to be made into a decent little cottage; but He is building a palace.'"

You know, I would have been perfectly happy with a double wide. . . but sometimes the Lord has different plans for us. So, if we can just think of that when the pains and trials and tests and heartaches of life come upon us . . . . He wants more for us than a double wide. . . He truly wants us to all be living in mansions set on a rock solid foundation .
