Fantasy Football Sleepers - Quarterbacks

Im going to preface this by stating that in this day and age there really are no since there is so much coverage that a third string QB cant make a nice pass in practice without the world knowing about it.  That said, here is a list of QBs that I feel will exceed expectations this season.
Jake Delhomme - Delhomme was having an outstanding season before getting hurt last year.  He should be good to go and ready to bounce back in a big way.  There are around 15 QBs that are ranked higher or taken before him in mock drafts.  He has one of the games elite WRs in Steve Smith.  They added a pair of quality WRs in Muhsin Muhammad and D.J. Hackett.  Assuming he and his weapons can stay healthy, there is no reason he cant return to the land of Top Ten QBs.
Vince Young - Last year VY was one of the guys I thought were going to bust.  This year Im selecting him to pick himself up, dust himself off, and turn in a decent year.  He finally has a go-to-guy in Alge Crumpler, who jived well with another athletic QB.  Id like to see him make some more plays with his feet.
Alex Smith - Fool me one, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.  I predicted good things from Alex Smith last year.  To say he let me down is an understatement.  Instead of avoiding him like the plague though, Ill give him another shot to prove himself.  Naturally, hell need to stay healthy and fend off Shaun Hill.  If he manages to do both he could be in line for a sneaky season.  Vernon Davis should be better in his third season.  They added Isaac Bruce and Bryant Johnson so at least he has some weapons to work with.  Throw Mike Martz into the mix and you see the stars beginning to align.  If you want further proof, check out their last four games.  In Week 13 when youre looking to secure your playoff spot he faces Buffalo.  In the fantasy playoffs he goes against the Jets, Miami, and St. Louis.  Stop drooling.
JaMarcus Russell - He got a little taste of the NFL last year.  He has the physical tools to be a good QB in the league.  It will depend on how quickly he can pick up the mental aspect of the game.  If Javon Walker can be a factor, his progression will be that much easier.  That said, he still has Zach Miller, who he vibed well with last year.  He can be Russells security blanket.  I wouldnt take Russell until deep in the draft, but he could be a pleasant surprise for whoever is willing to give him a chance.
Tarvaris Jackson - The acquisiton of Bernard Berrian gives T-Jack a deep threat.  Sidney Rice looked decent at times last year.  He is a big target and can be the red zone guy.  Bobby Wade did well last year, and should be more comfortable sliding into the slot.  T-Jack has a good line and a solid ground game.  They will basically beg him to pass.  If he can show any poise, he could have a nice, solid season.
Deeper Sleepers
Joe Flacco - If Baltimores season is in the tank, they could start developing Flacco.
Shaun Hill - If he can overcome Alex Smiths contract and lofty expectations, he could be the SF slinger.
Brodie Croyle - WIth Gonzo and Dwayne Bowe he has options.  If the ground game can return, he could be serviceable.

A great way to increase online traffic is simply to submit articles. In fact, the results are so incredible it seems too good to be true. The fact is that submitting articles is an outstanding marketing tool, one that is not only affordable but also effective.
You will find that most articles submitted by online business owners have problems. One is that the content is not written well and in fact, many articles have lots of grammatical errors and typos. Additionally, many articles have duplicated content, they do not use the right amount or type of keywords, and they are not unique.
Just as these are common mistakes, there are also easy fixes. If you are not good at writing compelling content, consider having a professional writer create the articles for you. Then, make sure the writer uses proper keywords and phrases, that articles are never duplicated, and that the articles flow but without excessive time being spent in the creation.
From there, you can submit articles online, manually or by using some kind of article submitter. It is also important to find the best article submission directories, choosing those that are going to benefit the growth of your site most. It might take a little time to locate these but it is time and effort well spent.
With an article submitter, submitting articles online has never been easier. Typically, the software programs do not cost much and they produce great results. Some people will do their own editing, which is fine but if you are not comfortable with this, you can hire a professional to assist.
There are so many great choices for submitting articles that narrowing the choices down can be difficult. However, some of the most popular include ezinearticles.com, buzzle.com, articlesbase.com, searchwarp.com, goarticles.com, amazines.com, articledashboard.com, and the list goes on. Choosing one that has a focus coordinating with your website is the best way to go.
Now, keep in mind that article directories come in many different types so prior to you going through the process to submit articles online, you want to do a little research. You want to avoid sending in lots of articles and seeing no results. Working with a syndication service or article submitter will help you avoid wasting time.
Looking at your product or service, you can then go through some of the top directories to choose the ones you are most interested in. Remember, strategy means everything, which comes prior to sending out articles. With a good plan, you can increase traffic to your site and start watching the sales coming in.
Using a top article submitter, not only do you have all the tools needed at your fingertips to quickly increase profit but more. By submitting articles online with the use of a submitter, you can also gain immediate access to more than 160 of the top, high traffic directories. That means within hours, the well-written articles are posted and ready to be read.
You do not have to stand back and watch other like websites pass you by. Instead, submit articles online and start enjoying the new success caused by more traffic. Typically, this process is quick, which is why articles are one of the best marketing strategies available.
You do not want the process of submitting articles to be awkward. The good news is that with well written articles, the right directories, and the right tools, you can begin to see incredible success. Plan well and make good choices and soon, you will find that your website is growing quicker than imagined.

I just returned from Celina where football coach Butch Ford is celebrating his 57th birthday today. He was chowing down on barbeque leftovers and chips for lunch. He fit me in for an interview before heading out to the Celina Quarterback Club Golf Tournament at McKinney's West Ridge Golf Course.
Here are some highlights from our interview:
* Celina returns only 12 lettermen from last year's 16-0 squad, the lowest number he can remember in quite sometime. Don't be fooled though. All of the returnees are high-quality - the kind you want to build a team around.
*Sensational junior middle linebacker Caleb Lavey, a starter since his freshman season, is recovering from a stress fracture on his leg sustained it during the spring. Look for this kid to be a top-notch recruit in 2010.
*Ford said the team's non-district schedule "might the toughest we've ever had in my years at Celina." Non-district opponents include Lytle, TCA-Addison, Daingerfield, Fort Worth Arlington Heights and Whitehouse. Lytle (Temple) and Daingerfield (Royse City) are neutral site games. Daingerfield is one of the few teams that leads its all-time series against Celina. OK. It was only one game, but it was a biggie. Daingerfield's the team that halted Celina's state-record winning streak (68 games) in 2002 in the Class 3A area playoffs.

I am not, as a general rule, a big fan of philosophical fictionfiction written merely to convey some philosophical message or point. Its not that I dont believe in the existence of (Dont worry: Ive read my Schaeffer.) The problem is, stories are meant to be written first and foremost about people. Do you have a great message or great plot device? Wonderful! Just dont forget that you have to focus on the characters before you focus on whatever else you want to say.

I've only been a priest for about six weeks, but already I've fielded repeated questions about "my parish."

The truth is that I don't really have a parish.

Most people's understanding of the priesthood is according to their experience of being a member of a parish, where there is usually a permanent priest assigned, usually a diocesan priest. So it is not surprising that most people would think that all priests are assigned to a parish. This, in fact, is not the case, especially for priests like myself who belong to a religious order. Yes, some of us do spend time working in a parish. However, at least as far as Jesuits are concerned (and I expect this is true of many other religious priests), many if not most of us are unlikely to be permanently assigned to a parish in the same way a diocesan priest is (diocesan priests are often assigned to parishes for a minimum of six years at a time, and often end up staying longer). Even Jesuits who are assigned to a parish often after several years are assigned to another ministry. Our association with a parish, then, tends to be different than that of diocesan priests, the majority of whom spend most of their priestly lives in parish ministry.

How is it different? Well, take, for example, my current situation. I do have a parish, in a sense, as I am currently the only priest regularly serving the parish here. Nevertheless, I am not "on the books" as the pastor, another priest who lives here is officially listed as the administrator of the parish. It is also an international community of people who worship in English here in Germany, one in which the community takes a lot of responsibility for what happens in the parish. I, more or less, just show up to say mass, hear confessions, etc. Yet, still, it is "my" parish, in a sense, for at least the next few weeks. For better or worse, the community has had only me saying mass and preaching for about two months. So, we've developed a relationship, and I have the luxury of being able to refer back to things I've said previous weeks, hoping they might remember (!).

Some here have asked what parish I am going back to, and I've had to explain my situation. Though I am a new priest, I have been missioned to further studies, not to a parish. This does not mean I will not be working as a priest. What it means is that I have to find some regular work for myself as a priest. And, as you might imagine, there is no lack of opportunity. What I am hoping is that I will be able to be involved in some of the student liturgies at Boston College, and I will also try to arrange with a local parish for me to come each weekend and take one of the masses there.

As a religious priest, then, one becomes something of a guest in the places where he offers mass. This is nice in one sense because I don't have all the responsibilities that come with a parish. I can come in and bore or inspire the people (hopefully the latter!), and then go home again. It also has its challenges because, since I am a guest, I don't have the luxury of doing everything precisely the way I would want to do it. Each parish has its own peculiar way of doing things and, as a visitor, it is not necessarily my place to insist on doing things otherwise. If they were guilty of some egregious error, I might have to take a stand, but usually this is not the case.

I must admit I kind of like this way of being priest, because you get to meet a variety of different people, and it fosters the humility required to appreciate approaches to worship that, given my own preferences, I might not otherwise be involved with. I get to experience the richness and diversity of the Catholic faith from a rather unique perspective, while also experiencing the wonder of the one common Eucharist we share, and this whether I find the community's approach to worship joyful, prayerful, or exceedingly dull. Christ comes there to be with us whether or not the community is inspired, whether or not the music is good, and whether or not I say the mass perfectly while I try to do things their way.

So, I guess "my parish," then, is not a place, but rather a unique mix of experiences, with a wide variety of people, who I am grateful to have the opportunity to serve as a priest.
